After graduating from HHS in '95, I went to UAF where I earned my BA in Sociology, graduating in '99 - straight from college I went to graduate school at UAA where I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work, graduating in '01. In August of '01 I got married to my longtime boyfriend, John and we moved back to Homer, where I worked as a Child and Family Therapist for the Community Mental Health Center - I continued this work until we had a child, Emmalin Taylor Kettell. In July of '04, we moved back up to Anchorage, where I went back to work as a Child and Family Therapist for Southcentral Counseling Center - Alaska's biggest Mental Health Counseling Center. I moved back to Anchor Point with Emmalin in March of '05. Since then, I have been busy staying home with Emmalin and doing some contract work with the State of Alaska for home-study writings with people interested in adoption. Crazy to think that it's been 10 years since we graduated from High School and even crazier to think that the next 10 years will probably go even faster! I hope everyone else from our class is doing well - it was great to see those of you that could make it to the reunion!

I am happily married for ten years now. We have three children, two girls and a boy. Both of our girls are now in school; Katerina our oldest is in third grade, and her sister Anastasia is in first. Our youngest will turn five in June so he (Elisha) will start school this fall.
After graduating in '95, I continued my education and in 2005 I completed my Doctorate. I am a Pastor in North Carolina, but I am currently working on trying to relocate back to AK. I have allways wanted to return to AK and hope to do so one day. My wife, whom I met on a mission trip to Russia in '94 isn't crazy about the idea. Even though she grew up in Russia, she was taught (just like the rest of the lower 48) that AK is nothing but snow and ice.
Although I didn't get to graduate from Homer High, I still wanted to post an update on the site. After all, the majority of the graduating class were my classmates most of my school life.
If you don't remember me, I should be in the Homer Junior High year book in 90-91 or the Homer High year book in 1991 or 1992....Under the name (Benjy) which I droped years ago.
